The Turkey Tail mushroom (Trametes versicolour) is rising to fame - and for good reason. Its bioactive compounds are believed to support immunity, gut health and wellbeing.

One of the most widely researched mushrooms, Turkey Tail is found all over the world. Its quirky name comes from its distinct appearance – with earthy coloured rings resembling the ruffled feathers of a turkey tail.

Believed to be a natural healer, Turkey Tail offers a powerful hit of antioxidants and other bioactive compounds. There is promising research that suggests Turkey Tail mushroom can reduce inflammation, aid digestion and support traditional cancer treatments.

We create our Turkey Tail Extract using a delicate blend of our homegrown Turkey Tail and native Australian bush food – Davidson Plum, Quandong, Strawberry Gum, Lemon Myrtle and Mountain Pepperberry which are rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

FAQs:

What is dual extraction?

Our powders and liquid extracts are made using different processes. Powders use hot water extraction, where as our mushroom extracts use dual extraction. This means that both alcohol and hot water is used to draw out the medicinal compounds. This enhances its effect on your body as it is more bioavailable.

What is myceliated brown rice and why is it in my Turkey Tail Extract?

To understand this ingredient you first have to understand how a mushroom grows. Think of mycelium as the root system of the fungus which needs nutrients to feed on. We use brown rice to feed the mycelium as new research suggests the combination of mycelium and brown rice substrate offers strong nutritional benefits. Click here to read more about why we use myceliated brown rice.

Are there any side effects to Turkey Tail mushroom?

Turkey Tail is considered a safe mushroom to consume. In some cases, people experience digestive symptoms like gas and bloating. If you are allergic to mushrooms, please do not use our products.

Can children, pregnant women and nursing mothers use Turkey Tail Extract?

As mushroom farmers, this is not our area of expertise. Due to the lack of research in this area, we recommend children, pregnant women and nursing mothers avoid our products or consult their doctor before incorporating Turkey Tail supplements into their diet.

Is there any research on the health benefits of Turkey Tail mushroom?

While research still has a long way to go before we can make any definitive conclusion, modern research is a promising sign. Take a look:

Premium Products

Thank you for your prompt delivery of my products. I ordered the combo of (Lion’s Mane, Turkey Tail, Reishi). I find the extracts very tasty - having taken many other Mushroom extracts over the years. My 17yo son is taking them too and finds them easy to tolerate. I’m especially pleased to find a family owned and based business to support. This is my first Australian medicinal mushroom product since relocating from North America and I’m very impressed. Thank you!
