One of the worlds most powerful sources of antioxidants, The Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is used to boost immunity, lower inflammation and promote radiant skin.

Known as the “king of medicinal mushrooms” Chaga is a parasitic fungi that sprouts out of Birch trees in colder climates, such as Canada and Siberia. It disguises itself as a clump of burnt charcoal, but don’t be fooled, the interior is bright orange in colour and incredibly potent

The Chaga mushroom is nutrient dense and its high melanin content is believed to promote healthy, radiant skin and slow down the ageing process. Chaga is a powerful adaptogen with modern research exploring its potential to boost immunity, reduce inflammation, lower blood sugar and assist cancer treatment.

Our Chaga is wild harvested from the Birch trees in Siberia, and blended with Australian botanicals to create our Chaga Extract. Our botanicals include Davidson Plum, Quandong, Strawberry Gum, Lemon Myrtle and Mountain Pepperberry, which are rich in Vitamin C and enhance the overall effect of Chaga.

FAQs:

What is dual extraction?

When mushrooms are raw, their nutrients aren’t as readily available for the human body to absorb. Dual extraction is when both alcohol and hot water is used to draw out the medicinal compounds - this enhances its effect on your body as it becomes more bioavailable.

Are there any side effects of Chaga Extract?

Chaga is generally a safe, well tolerated mushroom. There is evidence that suggests Chaga tinctures could interact with medication such as insulin, so it’s best to consult your doctor before consuming Chaga alongside any other traditional medication. Immune compromised individuals should always seek advice from their doctor before taking Chaga products.

Can children, pregnant women and nursing mothers use Chaga Extract?

As mushroom farmers, this is not our area of expertise. Due to the lack of research in this area, we recommend children, pregnant women and nursing mothers avoid our products or consult their doctor before incorporating Chaga products into their diet.

Is there any research on the health benefits of Chaga mushrooms?

While there’s still a long road ahead before mushroom research is widely accepted, here are some exciting findings:

Najafzadeh, M., Reynolds, P. D., Baumgartner, A., Jerwood, D., & Anderson, D. (2007). Chaga mushroom extract inhibits oxidative DNA damage in lymphocytes of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. BioFactors, 31(3‐4), 191-200.

new to medicinal mushroom

I'm a week into taking Chaga supplement, feeling like I'm on a cleanse. I also started Lionsmane, sadly this one or the fact of taking two together sent me into a spin.
